Kosciuszko NP, NSW
2.6 km (0.75 hrs )
This is a short and easy trek to a delightful alpine lake, created by damming Diggers Creek as a source of water supply for the former Kosciuszko Hotel. The track begins at Kosciuszko Road and winds its ways through snow gum forests and alpine meadows. There were a variety of wild flowers to see when I did the walk in early summer.
This was one of my favourite walks in the Kosciuszko National Park, and one that I would readily do again.
