The track to Burning Palms is one of my favourites in the Royal National Park, following the southern coastline from Garawarra Farm to Werong Lookout and back. There are magnificent views all the way to Wollongong, and the combination of beach and bush walks provides variety. I especially like the section through palm jungle, with the native Cabbage Palms providing some welcome shade along the track.

The track has gone through some extensive upgrades since my last visit, with an elevated boardwalk for much of the initial stages of the walk making for an easier trek. Definitely a track to put on my list for a return visit.
