This moderately long walk winds its way through the sub-alpine region of Sawpit Creek to view the waterfall at the upper reaches of the creek. While nothing spectacular, the walk was a good way to stretch my legs as introduction for the more strenuous walks I would do later in the week. The snow gum forest was alive with birds, including crimson rosellas and lyrebirds.

The picnic area at Sawpit Creek is also the start / end of the Palibo Track (Sawpit Creek to Thredbo River) and the Sawpit Creek Walk.
