Porcupine Rocks

Perisher Valley, NSW

★★★☆☆
The track to Porcupine Rocks climbs from Perisher Valley to the top of the ridge overlooking Thredbo Valley. This relatively easy hike is a great way to explore this area of Kosciuszko National Park and was alive with wildflowers when I visited in early summer. While there is minimal signage along the way, the track is well defined and easy to follow.
Porcupine Rocks are a series of giant granite boulders at the top of the ridge. It was fun to explore the many little tracks in this area and enjoy the surrounding scenery, even if there was a lot of smoke in the air from the nearby bushfires!
