Bullocks Track
Thredbo Diggings, NSW
6.0 km (1.5 hrs )
★★☆☆☆
This track explores the lower Snowy Mountains, beginning at the former gold mining operations at Thredbo Diggings and following the banks of the Thredbo River to the historic huts at Bullocks Flat. The return is via a section of the 35 km long Thredbo Valley Track. There are a number of interesting things to see along the way, including the old gold diggings along the Thredbo River, the skitube river crossing, historic Bullocks Huts and some remains of the old sawmill.
For a shorter walk that visits the highlights, you can begin and end this walk at the Bullocks Flat picnic area. Note that the tracks in this area are shared between hikers and mountain bike riders.
