This is track that I have done many times and is one I take when I want to get some exercise after working at my office in Macquarie Park. The mostly off-road cycleway links Macquarie University station with West Ryde station and follows Shrimptons Creek. While there is nothing special about the scenery, it does beat walking along suburban roads! At times I have even been able to spot wildlife along the creek including brush turkeys, eastern water dragons, kookaburras, rosellas and lorikeets.

There are lots of exit and entry points along the track, so variations of the trek are possible. The track also links a number of parks which have picnic facilities, toilets and playgrounds.
