★★★☆☆

With the ongoing covid-19 virus dominating the lives of Australians, and restrictions in place on where you can go, it was good to get out of the house and get some exercise in Australia's oldest national Park (abiding by the social distancing requirements of course, as per the regulations in force on April 2020).

On this track I explored a section The Royal Coast Track, and epic 26 km walk from Bundeena to Otford in Sydney's south. This track begins in Bundeena and follows the sandstone cliffs of the rocky coastline to Big Marley Beach. There are a number of interesting places to see along the way, including The Balconies, The Waterrun and Wedding Cake Rock. For me, the highlight was the huge sand blow at Big Marley Beach, which stretches far inland, all the way to Marley Lagoon. The bare sand dunes are amazing to see and make for some surreal photos.

This was not a particularly difficult walk, but do take care along the exposed cliff edges, some of which is unstable, as evidenced by the boulders the litter the shore below.
