The Drip is a large sandstone cliff adjacent to the Goulburn River. It gets its name from the water that percolates through the rock, providing a natural cooling effect that supports vegetation that is quite different to the surrounding, drier landscape. This was a relatively recent addition to the Goulburn River National Park (added in 2015), and having visited the site, I am glad that this unique natural and culturally significant area has been preserved.

Afternoon would be the best time to visit this site, when the sunlight would light up the cliff face. Even so, my early morning visit was nice and I am glad I made the special trip to this place. While in the area, make sure to visit the nearby aboriginal rock art at Hands on Rock.
