The short walk on the gravel track around the perimeter of Lake Woorabinda was pretty disappointing in terms of scenery. The lake has been dry for a number of years now, filled with weeds and waiting for when permission will be granted to refill with water. The flowering weeds did however add a splash of colour to the former lakebed. The highlight for me was a chance to stretch my legs after a rainy morning and spot a parrot and hundreds of Corellas feeding on the nearby oval.

The nearby picnic area next to the town swimming pool was nice and featured barbecues, picnic tables and toilets.
