Gulpa Creek Walk

★★★☆☆

The Murray Valley Regional Park preserves a large strand of river red gums in southern New South Wales. The Gulpa Creek Walk is a short and easy walk along the banks of the creek near the former logging town of Mathoura. Beginning at Crane's Bridge, where bullock teams once hauled logs to the timber mill, the walk winds its way through the low lying forest of red gums south to Burtons Bridge. There are numerous information signs along the way and it is a pleasant walk through the forest. I followed Moanna Street through Mathoura for my return journey.
