The Cowra Japanese Garden is one of the nicest gardens that I have visited (and I visited quite a few when I was in Japan!). The design of the garden is a copy of the first Japanese landscape garden (strolling garden) built by Shogun Tokugawa in the 16th century A.D. which had replicated in miniature the landscape of Japan. The garden incorporates six elements in the design - mountains, rocks, waterfalls, lakes, rivers turning into oceans and pine trees.

My friends and I spent a very pleasant morning exploring the various features of the gardens, the replica Japanese buildings and viewing the Japanese are in the Cultural Centre.
