The Heritage Trail explores the site of the late 18th century settlements in the Baulkham Hills. There are numerous interpretive signs along the trail showcasing the history of the early settlers. The paved path / cycleway is mostly level and easy to walk, following the valleys with tall Blackbutts and Turpentine Ironbark forests growing along the banks of Quarry and Tonngabbie creeks. There are a number of reserves and parks along the way if you need to take a break and enjoy the outdoors.

While this is a walk in what is now an urban environment, the walk is still enjoyable and there is plenty of bush along the creeks to enjoy.
