Apsley Falls are two waterfalls where the Apsley River begins its dramatic descent into the rugged gorges of the Oxley Wild Rivers National Park. The picnic area has a viewing platform which provides views of the 65 m high Upper Falls. The Oxley Walk, named after the explorer John Oxley who described the falls in 1818 as one of the most magnificent waterfalls he had seen, takes you to the other side of the gorge and around to a number of lookouts, overlooking both the upper and lower falls.

There are picnic facilities at the picnic area and a campground a short distance to the south of the falls.
