The Valley of the Eagles walk takes you to the summit of the rugged Mount Gunderbooka, with its sweeping 360 degree views of Gundabooka National Park. The first section of the walk from Bennets Gorge Picnic Area to the base of Mount Gunderbooka is easy and one which my dad enjoyed. The steep and rocky 300 m climb to the summit was far more challenging, but the views from the top of the flat, surrounding plains were impressive.

Bennets Gorge Picnic Area at the start of the walk has tables, gas barbecues and toilets set amongst the shady trees. There are also chairs to sit and enjoy the views of Mount Gunderbooka, just before the dry creek crossing.
