Simpsons Gap is the first of the West MacDonnell Range's featured destinations, located close to Alice Springs. It is one of the most prominent gaps in the West MacDonnell Ranges and features a permanent waterhole at the end of a short walk along the sandy river bed. If you are lucky, you may even see some Black-footed Rock-wallabies like I and my friends did.
