Coolah Tops National Park is a subalpine park (1,100 m elevation) with tall eucalypt forests, waterfalls, giant grass trees and scenic forest drives. The giant grasstrees that this trek visits are some of the largest that I have seen and are estimated to be hundreds of years old.

The Grasstree Walk can either be done from The Pinnacle Road or from the nearby Barracks campground. The short loop features many information signs that describe the grass trees as well as the fauna that lives here. This is one of my favourite walks in Coolah Tops.
