I am blessed to live in one of the nicest cities in the world; one in which national parks exist in the midst of suburbia.
On this beautiful Saturday, I had the opportunity to explore one of these city national parks, hiking from North Ryde in Sydney's north to Huntleys Point following one of New South Wale's epic hiking trails - the Great North Walk. This walk links three tracks, the Riverside walking track in Lane Cove National Park, the River Track at Mowbray Park and the Great North Walk along Lane Cove River and Buffalo Creek.
This was a long trek, but full of interesting things to see when passing through a wide variety of landscapes and vegetation. Well worth the effort!
