★★★☆☆
My son and I took the opportunity to explore Lady Carrington Drive on our bikes. This former road in the Royal National Park follows the Hacking River from Audley to Sir Bertram Stevens Drive near the turnoff to Waterfall, a distance of just over 10 km.
The road is pleasantly shaded and features a variety of vegetation, including numerous cabbage palms and Gymea lilies. There are a number of picnic areas along the way and some interesting sites, including walking tracks to Palona Cave and the Forest Island, both of which I had explored previously.
