Castle Hill is a giant pink granite monolith in the centre of Townsville. Apart from the stunning 360 degree views from the summit, there are a number of walking tracks, including some for the more energetic that lead down to the city.

My friends and I opted for the short and easy Summit Track that loops around the antenna covered peak, as well as the even shorter Pill Box Track to the historic World War 2 observation bunker. There are toilets and some chairs located at the carpark on the summit of Castle Hill.
