Wallaman Falls located in the Girringun National Park, approximately halfway between Townsville and Cairns, It is the highest, permanent, single-drop waterfall in Australia. The main lookout at Wallaman Falls provides spectacular views of Stony Creek as it plunges 268 m into the gorge below. The adventurous and fit can also descend to the base of the falls via the Djyinda walk. Due to time constraints, unfortunately I was only able to do a very small portion of the walk. One to look forward to when I return!
