Butterfly Walk

Grade 2 Grade 2

Tully Gorge NP, QLD
0.4 km (0.25 hrs )
★★★☆☆

Tully Gorge Campground is located near the end of the Tully Gorge Road, within the Tully Gorge National Park. Note that Tully Gorge Road is a no through road, and while it is a long drive into and out of the gorge, the beauty of the rainforest in the Wet Tropics World Heritage Area makes up for this. The campground has toilets, an outdoor shower, picnic tables and grassed campsites. Note that swimming is prohibited in the Tully River due to estuarine crocodiles.

The short (0.4 km) Butterfly Walk is located at the southern end of the campground. The walk through the rainforest is beautiful, and if you come between September and February, you may be able to spot the many butterflies that visit this area.
