Mossman Gorge is located at the southern end of the World Heritage Daintree Rainforest National Park, approximately 20 km west of Port Douglas. The gorge features two walks in the beautiful rainforest along the Mossman River which are accessed via a shuttle bus from the visitors centre. The Baral Marrjanga (Short Circuit) follows an elevated boardwalk through the rainforest before returning along the Mossman River to the shuttle stop. The longer rainforest circuit (Long Distance Circuit Track) continues on north from the Baral Marrjanga walk, across Rex Creek to Wurumbu Creek.

Both of the walks are stunning and worth doing, although the longer walk is on tracks that are not as well formed as the short circuit. There are toilets and a picnic area at the shuttle stop as well as back at the visitors centre.
