The Vulkathunha - Gammon Ranges National Park is located to the north of the more frequently visited Flinders Ranges. Similar in geology, the Gammon Ranges offers a chance to explore the semi arid rocky hills, with a number of 4WD and hiking tracks. The main road into the National Park (Gammon Ranges Road) was a well graded gravel road, but most other tracks require a high clearance 4WD.

This lightning visit was my second to the Gammon Ranges, but with more time, I would have loved to have stayed longer and explored this area in more detail. Maybe next time...
