The Australian Age of Dinosaurs Museum of Natural History is home to the largest collection of Australia's dinosaur fossils. Located on a jump up, 26 km east of Winton, the Australian Age of Dinosaurs features a Reception Centre, the March of the Titanosaurs exhibition at Dinosaur Canyon as well as a Fossil Preparation Laboratory. These can only be visited on a guided tours which take approximately 3 to 4 hours. Electric trains take you between the Reception Centre and the March of the Titanosaurs exhibition. There is a short and easy loop walk to Dinosaur Canyon from the exhibition centre. A full range of facilities located at the Reception Centre. You can also do a short walk that follows the edge of the plateau from the Reception Centre.
I found the experience fascinating, and while pricey, worth a visit. My only regret is not being able to also visit the Dinosaur Stampede National Monument at Lark Quarry Conservation Park, located 136 km to the south.
