After a few months of being restricted to my local government area, it was great to explore a little further afield and to stretch my legs on a longer walk. The Toongabbie Creek walk, from Toongabbie station to Parramatta station, combines a number of tracks, including Settlers Track (Toongabbie), Pemulwuy Loop (Northmead), Redbank Track (Northmead), Governor Phillip Walk (Westmead) and the River Walk (Parramatta).

It is so nice to live in a city where there is still plenty of opportunities to escape to the bush and enjoy the outdoors! While suburbia is never far away on this walk, the bush along the banks of Toongabbie Creek is a haven for wildlife, and I managed to spot quite a number of native birds along the way. A great morning's walk.
