Heading west towards Hay on the Mid Western Highway, I spotted The Wetlands, just before entering West Wyalong. This proved to be a nice place to take a break, with an interesting walk on The Wetlands Boardwalk, full of fascinating information about the Aboriginal uses of the local flora, as well as the nearby Cooinda Park that provided some insights into the mining history of the area.
