★★★☆☆
Perry Sandhills are located near Wentworth in western NSW. These source-bordering dunes were formed by wind blowing sand from a time when the Murray and Darling Rivers ran deeper and faster. They are a fascinating place to explore, and reminded me very much of the red dunes located in the Simpson Desert near Birdsville.
While there are no defined tracks in the area, at the time of my visit I was free to climb the dunes and explore my heart's content - about 30 minutes for me.
