Little Desert National Park located in western Victoria, approximately 375km north-west of Melbourne. The national park is cousin to the much larger Big Dessert National Park in the north, but features much of the same deep sandy soils. Despite this, the park boasts a wide variety of flora and fauna that have adapted to the arid climate.

Stringybark Nature Walk provides a great introduction to this unique region, with a short loop that features numbered signposts that correspond to points of interest outlined in the Parks VIC notes. Make sure you get a copy at the start of the walk.
