The Great Ocean Road is a heritage listed 240 km road along the south-eastern coast of Victoria. the road was built by returned soldiers between 1919 and 1932, and dedicated to soldiers killed during the Great War. The road today is a world famous tourist destination, providing access to some amazing coastline features, including the Twelve Apostles, London Bridge, The Grotto, Loch Ard Gorge, Bay of Martyrs and Bay of Islands.

While the weather was poor when I visited, I still managed to walk to almost all of the attractions, including descending to the beach for a different perspective at Gibsons Steps. Note that some of the attractions, particularly The Twelve Apostles and Loch Ard Gorge are very popular and can be crowded. There are number of towns along the road that offer accommodation, food and other facilities.
