★★★☆☆
After our morning visit to the Australian Museum, my son and I next visited the ANZAC Memorial in the nearby Hyde Park. Opened in 1934 to remember the fallen and those who served in the Great War, the building is a beautiful symmetrical design of the Art Deco style. It houses a number of memorials as well as displays from campaigns that Australian service men and women have served in - similar the War Memorial in Canberra, but on a much smaller scale.
It was interesting to spend time at the ANZAC memorial and reflect on the sacrifices of those who served so that we could have peace.
