The Wagga Wagga Botanic Gardens are located at the base of Willans Hill, a little to the east of the city centre. Set over 22 acres, the gardens feature a number of attractions, including a small zoo and aviary, Camellia Garden and Chinese Pavilion, Protea Garden, Shakespearian Garden and even a Miniature Railway.

Entry to the gardens was free when I visited, and my friends and I made use of the picnic facilities to have lunch, before a quick visit to the gardens and zoo.
