Murray-Sunset National Park is the largest national park in Victoria. It is located 500 km from Melbourne in the north west of Victoria and covers and area of 6,330 km2. Much of the national park is remote and requires a 4WD to access. Pheeny's Track is one of the 4WD tracks in the remote western section of Murray-Sunset National Park. The track exits on the border with South Australia near Meribah. Track conditions vary from a good gravel / clay road to soft sand. There are a number of campgrounds along the way, including the Border Camping Area where my dad, friends and I camped.
