★★★☆☆
Pondanna Outstation is located in the northern section of Gawler Ranges National Park. The area was first leased as part of a pastoral run in 1868 and supplied hay for the surrounding stations' horses and livestock. The remote outstation has been restored and can be hired as accommodation. There are a number of information signs around the former farm describing the history of the farm, which operated until the 1960s.
Access to Pondanna Outstation is via the 4WD Conical Hill track from the west, or Loop Track from the east. The Conical Hill Lookout provides some views from the elevated location across the plains and towards the volcanic rocks and sand dunes of Scrubby Peak.
