The Aboriginal art is the main attraction of the Mount Grenfell Historic Site. It is located approximately 70 km north west of Cobar, on what was a freshly sealed road at the time of my visit. There is a large picnic area and toilets at the start of the walk.

The main art sites are a short walk from the picnic area. Various figures, animals and symbols are depicted in red, yellow and white ochre pigment on the rock overhangs. The Ngiyampaa Loop walking track continues further uphill to Mount Grenfell trig, with views of the surrounding area from the summit.
