Wollongong Walk

Grade 2 Grade 2

Wollongong, NSW
4.2 km (1.25 hrs )

Wollongong has transformed itself from an industrial city to a cosmopolitan regional centre in New South Wales. While now extremely popular on weekends with a quite a large number of seaside cafes and restaurants, there is still a little of the past that can be seen on this historic walk along the harbour front.

On this walk I explored the historic Blue Mile Tramway, the former Mount Pleasant Coal Mine Tramway, as well as the fortifications of Flagstaff Hill and Battery Park. It was a nice and easy stroll, and also added two more lighthouses to my collection.
