Iron Cove was the next section of the Parramatta River that I explored by kayak. Being a lot closer to the city, the area is much more developed and subsequently there was a lot more traffic on the water, including the regular ferry services. It was interesting to get up close to some of the islands which I have only seen in passing from ferries and also have the opportunity to explore the many coves, bays and beaches along the way.

It was great being out on the water again, but was quite hard going when the wind picked up and the swell kept swamping my kayak!
