Sundown National Park is a rugged wilderness area that is accessible by 4WD vehicles or walkers only. The 4WD track is rocky, steep and slow going but does allow access to some spectacular locations including the steep sided Red Rock Gorge and Severn River which flows in the gorge far below.

My dad and I spent the day exploring this national park and camping at Red Rock Gorge campground. It is an interesting place to visit, but do allow for plenty of time as although distances are not great, the average speed is very low!
