Bar Mountain Picnic Area is at the southern end of the Border Ranges National Park. The picnic area in a large grassy clearing has a covered picnic table and a toilet. There are two walks from the picnic area - the very short Beech Glade walk that takes you to a place where you can see an impressive Antarctic Beech, and the longer Bar Mountain circuit ( 4km).

I did the short Falcorostrum Loop (part of the longer Bar Mountain circuit), which was a beautiful walk through the verdant rainforest.
