Mount Tate Circuit

The Mount Tate Circuit is one of my most ambitious hikes to date. The 32 km route follows the ridges that form the western edge of the Snowy Mountains, much of it without any formed tracks, so good navigation skills were a must!

My friend and I completed the hike over three days, camping along the way at some stunning locations. Weighed down by our heavy packs, we only averaged 2 km/h, but this gave us more time to enjoy the spectacular scenery and masses of wildflowers.

We both thoroughly enjoyed the hike in this remote and little visited part of the Snowy Mountains.
