Callicoma Walk
Grade 3
Cherrybrook, NSW
10.2 km (3 hrs )
★★★☆☆
The Callicoma Walk is named after the Black Wattle (Callicoma serratifolia) that grows close to creeks and gullies along this walk. The Callicoma Walk itself a 5 km circuit, but in order to make it easier for me to catch the train, I decided to extend the walk by taking in part of the Great North Walk from Thornleigh Station.
I found the section along Nyrippin Creek to be the nicest, where the green vegetation was quite beautiful. There are facilities at Cherrybrook Lakes which was halfway along the walk for me, as well as at Thornleigh. It was a nice morning's walk, but probably not one that I would do again.
