The crystal clear waters of Lake Conjola are an absolute delight to visit, especially in the quieter spring months when there are fewer people. At the time of my visit in September, I had the lake to myself and thoroughly enjoyed my long day out on the water. There is much to explore on this large lake, from the shallow waters of the estuary to the wide open Berringer and Conjola Lakes.
On this outing I paddled upstream to Fisherman's Paradise in more or less a direct line, bypassing Berringer Lake, Myrtle Gully and most of the numerous inlets. The waters near the outlet of Conjola Creek can be shallow, so keep to the channel markers. It was a beautiful day out and I hope to return and explore more of this wonderful lake.
