★★★☆☆

This was my second paddle on the lower sections of the Woronora River, having first paddled here in 2018, soon after I purchased my kayak. I decided to revisit and explore the inlets and bays in more detail, taking my time and enjoying a more leisurely paddle. It was a beautiful morning to be out on the water, and being early, also a very quiet. Beginning at Burnum Burnum Sanctuary in Bonnet Bay, I first explored the shallow waters of near the park before heading downstream to the mangrove lined Still Creek and then Bonnet Bay.

Woronora River is tidal, so do expect strong currents, especially near Georges River. There are two boat ramps at Burnum Burnum Sanctuary, with the ramp in the south (near the park entrance) also having a jetty and canoe launching facilities. The park has toilets, picnic areas and a playground.
