The Nullarbor Plain is a flat, almost treeless area, located on the Great Australian Bight coast in southern Australia. It stretches for almost 1,200 km from east to west between Ceduna in South Australia to Norseman in Western Australia. The Nullarbor Plain is also the world's largest single exposure of limestone bedrock, with a myriad of caves and sinkholes, as well as stunning limestone cliffs along the coastline.

It can take a few days to drive between Ceduna and Norseman, so an interesting diversion is to play on (or at least see) the world's longest golf course - Nullarbor Links. The 18 holes on the course are located next to places to stop along the way, such as roadhouses. My dad and I stopped at many of the course's tees along the way. Other attractions include the stunning lookouts near the Great Australian Bight, the Balladonia Museum with it's connection to Skylab, Point Sinclair Pink Lake, the old telegraph station at Eucla which is being covered by sand and 90 Mile Straight, one of the longest straight stretches of road in the world.
