This was my first visit to the beautiful Fitzgerald River National Park. Set on the stunning south coast of Western Australia, the national park boasts a rich diversity of rare native plant species, 75 of which are found nowhere else. From the quartzite peak of East Mount Barren, to the white sand beaches of Four Mile Beach and the birds of Culham Inlet, there was a lot to see in this quieter national park.

Even though it was a bit out of the way, there were plenty of people who joined us in camping at Four Mile Campground. The campground had shaded campsites, showers and toilets and a camp kitchen, all within walking distance of the beach. My dad and I spent a pleasant afternoon visiting the various lookouts before camping here overnight.
