The Stirling Range Drive took my dad through the heart of the jagged, tilted peaks of the Stirling Range. The sandstone and quartzite peaks are amazing to see, especially from the short walk to Central Lookout. This drive was one of the highlights of the trip to Western Australia for my dad, and I am glad that he had the opportunity to see the amazing sight in person.
Stirling Range Drive begins south of Bluff Knoll in the eastern section of Stirling Ranges National Park and heads west through the heart of the park to Red Gum Pass Road in the west. The road is unsealed but was well maintained when we visited. There are two lookouts along the way, but no facilities in this section of the national park.
