The Valley of the Giants was one of my dad's favourite places to visit on our trip to Western Australia. The giant Tingle and Karri trees, some of which were upwards of 80 m in height especially appealed to him as a carpenter with a love of wood and trees. Our visit on Christmas day meant that the Valley of the Giants walk was closed, but we still very much enjoyed what we could see and our time there.

When open, the Valley of the Giants Tree Top Walk and Ancient Empire Walk are well worth visiting. The site has picnic areas with tables and toilets, set amongst the giant trees.
