Manjimup Heritage Park is located in the heart of the south east forests of Western Australia. The large park features museums, natural bushland, heritage displays and walking trails. I spent a pleasant morning exploring the heritage displays located near Graphite Road at the northern end of the park. Here displays of timber getting equipment, including one of the steam trains used on the extensive forest tramways, as well as the buildings in the Historic Hamlet provided an insight into life during the period of early settlement in the area.

Manjimup Heritage Park is large! I only had the opportunity to explore a small section of it and would have loved to see more. There are lots of picnic facilities as well as a huge adventure playground for children.
