★★☆☆☆

Bunbury is Western Australia's third largest city, established in 1836 and named after its founder, Lieutenant Henry Bunbury. It is located on the coast, approximately 175 km south of Perth and remains as an important port city.

My dad and I stayed in Bunbury (at the historic Rose Hotel) on our way from the south coast to Perth. I took the opportunity in the afternoon to explore the city on foot, visiting the beach at Wyalup Rocky Point, the interesting Bunbury Lighthouse with its unusual chequered pattern and the redeveloped precinct near Koombana Drive.
