The State Library of NSW is the oldest library in Australia, being originally established as a subscription library in 1826, before becoming public in 1869. The vast library houses many exhibits, one of which is the collection of over 300 Australian paintings on display in the Mitchell and Dixson wings.

This was my first visit to view the paintings and I thoroughly enjoyed seeing them on this rainy Saturday.
