The Bullawarring Track follows Heathcote Creek in the remote Heathcote National Park. The highlights of the walk are the many large rock pools along the creek, with Kingfisher Pool being the largest and best. Kingfisher Pool is a great place to spend a while, with a beautiful swimming hole and picnic / camping area.
There is an option to loop back to Waterfall station on the Mooray Track, or to continue north and finish at Heathcote station. I chose to head north, via the Pipeline Track and The Friendly Trail. This allowed me to visit Lake Eckersley, a beautiful 'lake', formed at a bend in the Woronora River. Lake Eckersley was my favourite part of the walk and I would highly recommend the short detour to visit it.
